Hello guys! we are rapidly approaching Easter 2020; what makes me write this post is the special nature of this year because of the worldwide advent of the deadly pandemic COVID19 that has started a couple of months ago. Despite of that, we, for sure, will celebrate Easter this year, but differently from the previous ones .

Every year we are used to going to mass at the church, or attending a religious service, depending on our religious faith, and then meet with family and friends around a delicious Passover meal, share stories or anecdotes, have a lot of laughs, then go eggs hunting.

This year, things take another turn due to the fact that it is strictly forbidden to socialize physically on pain of severe sanctions and or catching the scary virus.

The viral disease does not have to stop us from participating in the Easter related activities; to circumvent the difficulties we only have to be a bit more creative.

Actually, given we in no way intend to flout the law neither to get sick, and later pass it on to our close family members and circle of friends, who, in turn, may spread it as well. Since we do not want that, and that all we wish is for the disease curb to flatten to a point where there is no more registered case. As noted above, things have definitely are going to be done differently on Easter 2020 in our common interests.

Painting Eggs is not only for kids, adults enjoy it as well, so without further delay go get your set of thick and thin brushes, or paint markers; in case you do not have any, buy some. When getting your water or acrylic paint, choose bright vibrant colors; take your paint brushes, dab them well in the paints and start drawing whatever you feel like as long as you have fun, which is the purpose of this activity. For a more sophisticated look, decorate your eggs with ribbons, pearls, or any other craft items that make them standout. This will help easing stress, and at the same time take your minds out of any scary thoughts.

As this can be messy, do not forget to dress up with old clothes, or to wear an apron to protect your clothes, also use a plastic cover, or old newspapers not to stain your work area.

By saying to buy craft materials, I do not mean for you to go out only to buy them. No, you are not going to expose yourself to the virus. Because each time we go out we unfortunately increase the chance of getting infected by directly breathing the virus from someone who talks, sneezes, or coughs, or infecting ourselves by touching a surface, or a contaminated object then touching our face. If you were about to run errands, put them on your list. Otherwise, you can easily order them online and get them delivered at your place as any well-known e-commerce sites carry them. Do not forget to clean them well before using them.

We can still hunt for eggs, but we do it within the nuclear family, which means mom, dad and kids, no other people allowed; big family gathering is not for this year, let’s hope to do it next year. By then they may have found a drug and or a vaccine to fight the viral disease. So hide well your eggs, grab a basket start the hunt and have fun.

Have everybody put their hands to work to cook the Sunday dinner. While you are busy seasoning and cooking the turkey, honey can make the gravy, and the kids can help with cleaning the fruit and setting the table. This way everybody contribute and take the pride to the tasty meal. a neutral color table runner, or an Easter scheme one will do just as well. The final effect depend on how you choose to assemble the items and their beauty.

If you have not yet decorated your dining table for Easter, there is still time left for doing it. You can buy the Easter bunny, some eggs, candle holders, flowers, candles, ribbons for the arrangement, and carrots, eggs nest, and fake grass to embellish the table. like that you have all the items to make a nice centerpiece and decorate the table. I guess that you certainly already have most of those items at home, therefore no need to buy new ones, shop in your house. Now your table is so cute!

For those who are religious and are wondering how to attend Easter celebration, keep reading this paragraph; it is for you. My advice is to find a quiet place at home and watch it on the big screen, on your mobile phone or computer, or tablet. The important thing is to remotely attend it. Many churches broadcast their mass online, there is even TV channels only dedicated to that. Livestreaming mass and alike services are a good way to keep faith alive during these unprecedented circumstances. Due to the large gathering ban, more and more churches broadcast their services. So go online, or watch it on television.

We can face Time, go live on social media and also use other popular features. In fact, lately due to the confinement and 6 feet social distancing, there is a huge increase in those virtual features usage. So, do not hesitate to use them to get connected with your loved ones in that special day.

I know that large family gatherings will be missed, but we can organize virtual parties. In that respect, people not only keep in touch with one another, but they see what is happening at the very moment it take place.

Give a present to your spouse, it does not have to bexpensive, make an Easter basket for him/her, put in some goodies, including eggs chocolate. Whatever you fill the basket with will be surely appreciated as your know well what his tastes are . Accompany it with a nice card is a good idea as well.

Remember guys that life goes o in spite of the virus; consequently, we should find alternatives to continue enjoying life and our partners. Confinement does not necessarily mean that life should be boring. This disease reminds us that life can be short, and that we should embrace life to the fullest, honor and cherish our spouse, let him know how much we love him, and to keep a positive attitude in everything.

Happy Easter 2020!
